While recording Bionique I sustained an injury to my left hand which hindered my playing and stoppped me from recording the hard rock styles for the Bionique album, however I decided to use the time exercising my texture and processing skills by making an ambient album...

So I made Celestial, a piece of ambient drone music based on a dream I had during the summer of 2009. A futuristic gothic dark soundscape is what I had in mind,
essentialy each track is about different dead spaceships that have been reduced to space garbage and are now drifting lifeless through space but surrounded by the stars they paint an interesting image and the burst transmissions, alien gargles and clicks suggest life beyond the void.

The album was mainly made by recording raw sound from various objects around the house and processing them to make textures, one sound in particular was generated by plugging in my guitar to an amp and plugging the amp into the socket but leaving it off, I found when holding the guitar in certain areas I could get some rich drones and the harsher sounds were made with distorted guitars and slow attack envelopes.
